South Texas Christmas

Well, right now, they are making tamales.
When Prince Charles came to San Antonio,
they served him some tamales.
Just remember,
you're not supposed to eat the leaves.
To those of you up in New England,
who don't understand about tamales,
they grow on trees.

This made me roar with laughter!
Tamale trees, eh? then what was it I spent all night making Dec 30 (about 30 years ago!)
in Southern California, so that we could have Tamales
with our New Year's eve Chile Rilleno casserole?
Sheesh, and all I had to do was go outside
to a Tamale tree????
Nice one, amigo!
