(These are just some of the many ways all of us across the world express our desire for peace.

I share all these translations because it is often overlooked during the holidays that one of the true notions of Christmas is for there to be peace on Earth, yet beyond this one time of year mankind continues to war against one another, sibling versus sibling.

Despite that sad truth, we all share one love, one dream, one heart that bleeds the same color no matter what religion or creed you have or what age, sex, race, color, or ancestry you are. So remember that peace begins in you, and let peace fill your heart every day of the year beyond Christmas!

So, I offer this proclamation of everlasting peace, for not only this holiday season but year-round.)

Peace On Earth
By: Noah Eaton
12/24/03

Silver bells chime in the morning
Meeting up with serenity
From the inside out
The outside is basking in clarity
No matter how hard we try,
no matter how many negotiations are made
Peace on Earth can only come
Where the Prince governs your name

How can I escape
This emotional state of rest I'm feeling
How can I obtain
A residence that isn't temporary
The wrong shall fail,
the right prevail
Can Peace on Earth save us both,
save us both?

Don't let the grass grow under your feet,
because peace is something you make
It is our gift to each other,
one gift we share to one another
And when you give it all away,
you feel it always has a place to stay,
so let there be light today...

When you hear the donkey's bray,
what more is there to say?
Having the wisdom to accept the truth,
still such tears and fears remain
So I create my own incantation,
my immortal manifestation,
where the bells ring without fear,
where the bells are clanging near

I'm just a regular sinner,
who's searching for a residence
And I ask to repent,
beg for His forgiveness
I close up all the windows,
seal up all the doors,
so I can live in it,
so I can breathe in it

Don't let the grass grow under your feet,
because peace is something you make
It is our gift to each other,
one gift we share to one another
And when you give it all away,
you feel it always has a place to stay,
and it's never so far away...
so far away,
just let there be light today...
