Between the Lines

I don't do negative feelings well
but they're always bombarding me.
I know it's a choice but what can one do
when  leaving me less than can be.

It's a lifelong battle behind that smile
that I share when I write feelings down.
The positive thoughts are always there stored
but the others attempt to those drown.

I can put on an act, as I do at the faire
pretending I've company abound.
But when I awake in the early of morn
the aloneness is there to surround.

I'm asking myself what should I do
to go forth in this world of much change.
So many choices, each with their faults
and none close enough to exchange.

So I peddle my thoughts, well at least in good weather
down a path where the smiles can regain.
For nothing's more beautiful than nature's review
when the seasons produce their refrain.

Hi, Maureen! There's nothing like Nature to chase the blues away!

Great photo of that old railroad tunnel!

May 2008 be one of inner peace and joy!

Loving hug,
