My days are full of errands, my mind is spinning, too,
not much poetic license dares to take a cue.

Yet the season sparkles, and I wish upon a star
one that blessed the world with peace and knows
just where you are.

With winter rains upon the coast and ice storms to the east,
I'm thankfully near the fire today while I plan a family feast.

In my heart, I feel for those who are so far from home.
the homeless, tired and heartbroken, wandering alone.

And pray for God's abundance to lift the load they bear,
to show me what to do today to express His loving care.

I have enough for all my needs, and Christmas reckons dear ~
within my mind, finds charity beckons star-bright clear.

With hope, I hold the inner light and think how I am blessed,
Thank God for friends and loved ones who daily give their best,

Offering the world a stronger voice and harmony in their song,
the touch of Love expanding Christ and Christmas all year long!

May the blessings of Christmas be yours.  ~ Karen

Karen, you are one Klassy act! Your poem was gracious in both form and content and is one that I am going to show my eldest daughter. We just got back from shopping for groceries to donate to our local Food Bank. She asked if I would like to go with her and I readily agreed. Like yourself, she truly knows the meaning of Christmas.

Karen, you have a very radiant spirit and a kind soul ~ and you are also blessed with the gift of communication through your writing. God bless you.

Bless you and your daughter's generosity.  I love the healing light in the world, and there are two very bright (hearts) stars shining in your comment.  Thank you.  ~Karen
