The Wehrmacht’s Behemoth

Vengeance, spurs life into deadly industry,
Igniting the fuse for such terrible war.
In new things, they wanted command,
All for the glory of a madman.

What they made, was a monster so strong
It growled its name simply by moving.
Its cold metal feet, compounded the ground
Scarring its rune into the earth.

The maw of the beast was long and thin
And spat death with a thunderous chord.
Skin so thick, one may not strike back
As it and its kin swarm about you.

However, for us the beast’s day is done.
The third empire that made it was long since dead.
Now new beasts shout their name and crawl foreword.
Deadlier and can see far beyond us, poised to strike.

Welcome to Pip! Being German my mother tongue I was attracted by the title ...

There is truth in what you say and it seems the worst is still to come, but I am convinced that we can make a difference by awakening to Love. Drop by drop the essence of love can melt away the heavy metal of new threatening beasts ...

We need to believe in our future.

But to keep fear under control is not easy, as you convey here powerfully.

Love,
Margherita

Indeed, I fear the rising trends are frightening.
Will humans ever strive to be humane????

You are a welcome addition to those of us who traverse the fine blue sands of "P.I.P.-land!"

This is an interesting, powerful 'write' that is (unfortunately, once again in this sad, 'ol world)
pursuant to a 'timely' subject...
Socio-politically, the human animal is still virtually living in caves (if not swinging from trees)...
however, technologically, we have, of course, simply learned how to build ever bigger and better
'clubs!'..

Serious applause!!

Definitely a heavy subject.

Just a thought:
