Rhyme Royale

My love, you sing to me of former days
When hearts were young and deceits yet unknown.
I try but I cannot forget the ways
Your eyes will lie, while looking in my own,
Lips vowing that your love is mine alone.
Fidelity is all that I would ask.
You offer love unequal to the task.

Joyce! You look as sweet as I had pictured you would!

A sad scenario far too often true. You wrote of it very well.

Love to you, Joyce!

A fine write about the sadder side of love.
Good to see you!
