Judy walks
at her own pace
in the black and white
of the winter woods

as I wait
the angle
of the late
afternoon sun
allows a crooked tree
to cast
a perfect shadow

then I hear
her say
“your shadow looks so straight”

on the approach to hell
there is a point
where the temperature
is perfect

What an intriguing write!
The shadow imagery and implied implications in the ending...as always,
you've given the reader something to savor and enjoy beyond a single reading.
(Checking this into my library.)

Your poetry never fails to intrigue me.  I, also, am adding this to my library.

Thank you.

I happened to read this more than once on different days.
You have caught my attention with this
captivating write.
... I love those shadows and the thoughts they elicit.

Love,

This is exquisite.

The picturesque images this emotes reminds me of black and white photography.  I miss seeing really great black and whites.  Great write.
