Pulled again into a new shape
Unable to bend
Flat again and another end
What is my fate

Shade again and kept away
Standing in place
Fixed again with a new face
This piece of clay

Surrender myself to them
But hold onto what’s within

Lift me back up to the sun
And I will harden
Just like the son
You always wanted

Staring down at your piece of art
I will obey
I am your own mold of clay
To rip apart

I must do what I am told
Or so they say
Because if it’s not their way
I will be controlled

When I am burned in stone
I won’t be your clone

Lift me back up to the sun
And I will harden
Not like the son
You always wanted
