Some seem to rush headlong to the abyss
descending rapidly their downhill grade
reminding me that I should not play tag
or match departure time and e.t.a

While others travel slow and watch their steps
not rushing to the end, and so it seems
each in their own time come to realize
dependence on the clock dispels the dream

Do what you will at any pace you must
inherent as this all appears to me
how each of us will spend that final hour
depends on so much more than A, B, C

None knows what is to be , this much is true
although, when last comes first may leave some clues.

I'm trying so hard not to rush to the end and get all the answers.  It's hard to take one day at a time sometimes.  Enjoyed.

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

Artic
My thanks again, I'm glad you enjoyed.
Doc

Cienwyn,
Thanks. I'm not convinced there are answers at the end, perhaps only more questions? At any rate, thanks for stopping by.

O.K. maybe I'm just latching one to a small bit of a larger messege, but "dependance on a clock" ? kind of like that watch we wear that is really more of a "handcuff" to the day to day world.
Thanks Doc!

Enjoyed!  I've done a bit of thinking on that score myself.  I'm sure we'll get some answers but too I'm sure there will be work to be done.
