Butterfly

They spring
from chrysalis'
full grown
knowing
all they must
or ever will.
No memory is theirs,
nothing to unlearn
or empty out.
The world is new
and they remain,
through death,
both innocent
and beautiful

04.12.2007

(For the yesterday's butterfly.)

Just another Pete,

This is a nice idea.  I'd put a period after "beautiful".

How beautiful!

I believe our souls remain too both innocent and beautiful through death and rebirth. But we forget ...

Quite special!

Smiling here, as today I bought a gorgeous photo book by Gilles Martin featuring these ephemeral beauties, which are living works of art.
And this post is an enjoyable read!

Pete

I love this
and I love butterflies in December.
You brought some summer
to my winter evening.

Thank you.
