Sweet sugar twisted in a swirl
a spiral pattern put to print
a tasty treat for tongues to twirl
prepare yourself for peppermint.

The holly may adorn the door
and gingerbread bedeck the halls
but contemplate the candy cane
the Christmas classic all recall.

Simplicity describes this stick
confected with a curly-cue
a childs' delight in every lick
a taste treat after yuletide too!

The seasons' best with this I send,
my Christmas  salutations, friends.
