insane asylum kid's carrying on
all night long ya know I'm afraid
to leave my home they gawk
at me with strange
awkward
stares
while
echoes
of pink floyd
and the sultans of dire
straits are deafening my ears
to the south she points with her
hand a backyard neighbor is
rocking to a garage band
I screamed at
them
but
they
just don't

ghostly sirens of the city has somewhat
of a profuse squall in comparison to
the drown of the music people
who are flailing a cry of

these folks are grouping on the corners
up and down the street their
loud voices can be
heard for a
distance

need to
tell the world
their business they
laugh and carry on either

ignorant or uncaring of all the hearing
there's a party going on in my front yard
and they're sitting on my car no doubt
brought on by some alkaloid
cocaine adrenaline

not to mention all the heart rending screams
tire screeches and giggles from

lot of chaos beneath the label of desperate
interaction up late & I watch CSI you know & I know
somebody was beat up and robbed just the

couldn't take it any longer
and committed
suicide

smile...

it does get old.

But I put the gun away.

This sounds like what I came home to...quiet now though. You write the madness very well.

Thank a you, Karen

I'd been meaning to ask you 'bout your neck of the woods.
Actually we were the one's running the insane asylum and
she our next door neighbor. Most the time the police wouldn't
even come out if we called. Finally a friend told me to tell the
cops that they had guns. You know what... it worked... They
were there in a flash and when everybody disappeared we
set out on our way.

And Sunshine,

not a long time... a little time... nice to see you. Sending best
and holiday prayer. It's a bad time of year for a lot of people.
