Home alone

Whats it like to be alone,
Whats it like to have no home,
When your down you turn to drugs,
And now you have to deal with those nasty thugs,
Those money grabbing thugs that throw you a hook ,
If the cops catch you they'll throw you the book,
So when you are sat there in your nice warm home,
Just take a few seconds for those all alone.

Why should I help them the lazys gits?
Why should I really give
All they do is beg for a few bob,
Why carnt they go out and get a job,
If I try and help they'll never change,
The lazy bums will stay the same,
If they tried to sort themselves out,
Passers by wouldn't mumble and shout,
You lazy bums you have no home,
And because of that you are alone.

But if you help that smallest bit,
You might help them to get out of that pit,
Not all homless are lazy bums,
And not all of them are fillthy scum,
Some of their mums are really cruel,
And some of them have no mums at all,
Some of them have cruel dads,
No dont that make you just that little bit sad,
So instead staring with nothing good to say,
Why not stop and show them the way,
Where thay should go and who they should see,
It took two years for some one to tell me,
Now I rent a place that I can call home,
And with forty odd people I am never alone,
You'll get no parades not even a band,
But wernt it just great to lend them a hand.

So when your there thinking while you are alone,
Just think of that person you helped get a home.

Very good read..

I have a friend whose dad lives on the street. Whenever I leave a resaurant downtown, a grab a fistfull of handwpies and put a couple at each bench and in different places downtown.
It's not much but every little bit.....

Gumpy

How is it that after your heart is ripped out, you feel so much?
