Aflame In The Wild

Impulse aroused
Without prompting or choice
An extraordinary lushness
Deep in throaty night voice
Something old, something new
Bonds between just we two
Cause to dream
Cause to brew
Remnants fly
Mark the sky
Leading by
Thoughts
Of you
Once again
On the wind
Winter sparkles in grin
Carried on until dawn
Intonations within
Something old just the same
Has ignited the flame
Warming will to be heard
Without prompting a word
Just an impulse aroused
Without holding at bay
An extraordinary story
Candles torched on relay
Something this, something that
Such that time won’t combat
Given all, given voice
Lit, aflame to rejoice
Impulse aroused
Without prompting or choice
An extraordinary lushness
Deep in throaty night voice
