Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

When the wind touched her skin,
the magic of fingered breezes
scattered the petals of dressed flowers
into billowing parachute folds.
She relished the attention of his eyes.

Silent compliments eloquently sung;
words silent awkward wallflowers,
unnoticed, stilled, as  exposed parts flirted,
and danced with calculated innocence.
Each moment captured, embraced.

Perhaps merely a picture, a memory,
yet the dance of yesterday remains
everlasting as flowers drift on wind’s sail,
riding on fallen leaves to remind him
of another time that is yet to come.

Woven moments caught forever,
framing a picture of innocence.

Truly lovely, Alison.  I particularly liked:

"Perhaps merely a picture, a memory,
yet the dance of yesterday remains
everlasting as flowers drift on wind’s sail,"

I am especially fond of the imagery
approaching the particularly fine ending:

"the dance of yesterday remains
everlasting...

riding on fallen leaves to remind...
of another time that is yet to come.

Woven moments caught forever,
framing a picture of innocence."

Applause!
