A Journey Won’t you kiss me one last time, Before I go away? Squeeze my hand, hold me tight, No one can ruin this wonderful night For once I leave I may never return. Physically I am gone, however, Emotionally we are one. This journey all started that one Friday night, I gave you a poem and from there it took flight. Seeming to never touch ground again, Each day bringing many new bends, In the road of life. Will this journey come to an end? Or will this journey prove all others wrong. Some have said we won’t last, They all have said we’re moving too fast. How can we be moving too fast? Everything in life seems to fall perfectly in place, With just one glimpse of your starlit face. I see my mistakes as I look back on the past, I almost waited far too long to ask you for your love. I dawdled with others until I realized I was played. I turned around and knew you would never do the same. This journey has been great, It’s all laid out by fate. I’m certain we were meant to be. If only all others could easily see As I look into your eyes, How could this not be real? Kelly and Jon most certainly meant to be. For once I leave I may never return, If that is the case let it be known, Without you in my life and you in my arms, My soul is not whole and my life is just strife. |
