Joining one's spirit
to the Spirit:
how?
meditation.

Deny your senses
the ugliness
of man's world
deny your ears
the noise
deny your eyes
the garish sights:
the un-nature,
man's creation:
that is the first step.

Discipline your senses
to nature's beauty
and to love
turning the world
upside down.

Reject the fear
of rejection--
you're not alone...

Above the din
of the freeway;
above the smoky headlights
unnatural colours
of rushing monsters
your eyes rise
inexorably
as the hills rise:

in multi-shades of green
from yellow to brown,
an endless variety
too varied to count
(fill your heart with infinity!)
...tall brome grass
happy in the morning breeze
waves gently as you pass:
your ears pick up
the call of a cricket
by the roadside;
of a cowbird
on an alder branch;
of a brewers blackbird
scolding from a wire;
three young swallows
sparkle in the air
the suns fills the world
filtered through fading clouds;

Your mind finds peace
(gentle, quiet peace primordial)
from hell you witness paradise
and learn to reach
your future home
that always was
home.

Visually 'centering' this write
is the perfect presentation for this theme.
Well done...as always.
I am always more centered in nature.

a very fine 'write!'...

As a ‘natural philosopher’ and
‘Universalist’ (ever-dedicated to
the celebration of Nature and
diversity), I am especially fond of:

“Discipline your senses
to nature's beauty
and to love
turning the world
upside down(!)”

AND:

“Your mind finds……
gentle, quiet peace primordial…”

Most serious, sustained applause!

Saved faster than you can say "Meditation".

As one who is an avid meditator, myself ~ and one who also appreciates fine poetry, I am a big fan of this poem!

Loved it!!!!!

Not sure if this is meditation...but to soothe my mind I listen to Classical music, dance music, or Enigma real loud on my car radio while driving to work, the mall, the beach, socializing or wherever.  It has a wonderful effect...James
