Just a Little Air

I don't know how to say this
but i'll try as best i can
what once was 'till forever
is now not ever again

our sunday morning brekkie
will be every other week
beacause although we both had learned it
we never turned the other cheek

fights are replaced with sorry's
and i never meant to hurt's
caught up in all the littles
never stopped to do the work

although these hurts may stop
they may even go away
they been replaced with new ones
with not seeing you each day

and tho my heart's been sundered
and i'm far beyond despair
the thought of little smiles
gives me just a little air

Sadly, these things happen...

and over time, Sir, I've noted
that what was the "worst" of times
slip into some silent cavern of dark...

and although it takes several years,
some good of the memories will be all
that lives on...

that is, they will, if you're anything like me...

It's too bad when reality doesn't blend with all the lessons we learned as children.  You write with heart!

miscellanea...

The same thought crossed my mind recently. It sure isn't how I pictured it turning out.

Thank you

Thank you Roniece.
It's the smiles of my three girls that have gotten me this far.

Thanks

How is it that after your heart is ripped out, you feel so much?
