(I saw that MSN has an article about this on their home page and it reminded me why I almost flunked the third grade)

Dinosaur Question

What happened to the dinosaurs
is a question ever asked
Scientists ponder every option
   Why did dinosaurs not last?

No one listens to a child
for they know not of what they speak
I once tackled this weighty question
and I passed science with just a squeak.

What happened to the dinosaurs
My answer is forever carved
I wrote that they ate each other
Though, sadly, the last one starved.

What a cute poem and a very sensible answer as far as I can see. Love it.

Thank you all for stopping - and, hopefully, smiling.

I think the Flintstones live in warmer climates, DS.  Didn't they come over the land bridge and roam into TV land later?  Not sure, but that's what I think anyway.

Hugs to all,
A

I have no memory of ever having had eyesight, and when I was little I had some weird ideas about how things worked.  I once told my first teacher that air had weight but other things were heavier.  I use to imagine a dog as this ball with scales on it.  It had a mouth and rolled around going, Rufff Rufff.  My idea of a cow was a ball without a mouth that just rolled around and went Mooo ... Mooo ...
Somehow I never got around to speculating about Barney the dino ...
Must have been cold (blooded) lonely for him... no one to eat ... and no one to eat with
But crocodiles and cockroaches have seen it all.

I couldn't help but laugh after reading that.

The ending just got got me:
"What happened to the dinosaurs
My answer is forever carved
I wrote that they ate each other
Though, sadly, the last one starved."

I agree with the others, clever indeed.
