mistress of ladytree
perhaps you are an ocean
that ebbs your lovely there
at the edge of my horizon

perhaps a goddess in bronze
that reflects the morning sun
and melds the windows of my eyes
into a statue's gazing

the poet of my mind in dream
wears your moments in fantasy
and I realize the fantasy is mine
as is the dreaming

but still you are that ocean
that I hurry to view on the dawn
whose voice of waves I crave
when the evenings fold to night

not to posses the gem of your tides
but just to worship for moments
as you stir the grains of my shore
into a longing for longer storms

that more of me might be captured

Time is slowly becoming mine again
just as the leaves are falling gently
into the keep of winter...

I will have more time to
sigh
soon....

and enjoy the warmth your poetry evokes...

how utterly beautiful, dear D.!

One to tuck away, one that would enchant the world if it was given a chance to read it ...

it's this...here...

just leaves the heart undone....

DS,

I have been gone and missed reading your poetry.  I have much to catch up on - one thing I do know - you still mesmerize me with the beauty of your words, the thought behind them, and the way you put it all together.

I love this poem.  It (like all your poetry) is in my library.  This one though is printed and saved too.  Is that okay?

Thank you for sharing so much of your artistic and creative mind.

A
