I was very hesitant to post this, as the last line is extremely similar (and I do mean, extremely similar) to this, and although I wrote this days ago (prior to listening to that), it still felt too similar to post here without feeling a little... weird about it. I hope it's alright.

----

The words we spoke in vain,
left our lives in ruin and our minds strained.
The pain, the tears, they reign.
And through time, through hate, you'll only gain,
all that it is you will always blame - on me.

And so although we are but human,
we are but emotion;
it was before the lies and it was beyond the stars we'd hide -
- hide from the life of scars that I now, and will always... reside.

Dear Connel,
I would not worry about the similarity, "stars" and "reside" are frequently used words. The context is different.
Your words are lovely and they are yours.
Love,
Margherita
