Thoughts From A Winters. Morn
By Paul Wilson

(Fooling around with a different style)

I know we’ve met before
you bring back memories
was it at the local store
perhaps on an ocean breeze
or another place and time
while sharing a glass of wine

The air about you is all aglow
your eyes shine like ten thousand stars
without introduction your name I know
just like memories and renoirs
hidden by my heart…out of sight
your memory still shines bright

Passage of time serves me well
love we shared covered in stone
Your future I can tell
afraid of being left alone
Winters grip leaves me cold
as together we grow old

I will be there for you
because of the love we share
take my hand start anew
remember how much I care
I will never stop trying
let me dry the tears you are crying

~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~
Paul

Paul, the entire poem is noteworthy, however, these exquisite lines stand out for me.

"without introduction your name I know
just like memories and renoirs"

This stretch of your poetic wings, suits you well!

Loving hug,
Linda

hi Paul,

The poem takes me two place...the past and the future.  Aren't memories strangely wonderful phenomenon.  We would have no past without them and not on which to dream for a future because we would not remember it once it arrived either.  Then to think of eternity of infinity where all is without beginning or end seems to set past, present and future all in the same consciousness of now, and love just IS.

I enjoyed your poem, and the glimpse of your heart! ~ Karen
