Oh this thing that grows Torturing me daily Leaving me in pain I abuse myself trying to banish it From the wrinkles of discomfort It crushes out efforts of meditation With thoughts of anguish Clear mind is out of reach The screaming reveals itself As the symptom rather than the cause The candle light doubles I am left frustrated with the loss I need comfort, relaxation Meditation Grounding Then maybe the headaches will stop "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Susan, when I used to get migraines, I packed my entire head and face in ice packs. I also would take a diuretic to get rid of any excess water I was carrying. I have heard of people taking a laxative to purge their body of any toxins that may be triggering the migraine. I had to be in total darkness and quiet. Gosh, I am so darn happy that I don't get them anymore. At the first sign of one that might be coming, I get into a cold shower and then lie down with a cold, wet wash cloth across my eyes ~ and meditate and I also use bio-feedback. Oh, and don't forget the morphine! ~ Ooops! Not usually administered for a mal de tete! Shucks! Sorry that you are suffering ~ and you certainly conveyed that, Miss Poetess! Loving, healing hug, Linda |

sometimes the change in temperature or seasons adds to those headaches making them a bit worse than normal. But we all live stressful lives today so it isn't easy to aleviate that problem. Hoping you are feeling much better~~ M |

The Naked One is right in that a change in the barometric pressure can bring one on as well. I am glad to read that you are feeling better today! Linda |
