It was the middle of the night
When I turned on the light,
Tears running down my face like rain;
For my dreams had woke me then
It was exactly Three AM
When I heard the echoes of your name.

The city is silent, love is all spent
Paying the dues to sing out the blues;
Singing the blues.

Where are you staying these days
Why did you go so far away,
I can’t help but missing your touch;
When the cold comes creeping
I just start to weeping
Baby I miss you so much.

The city is silent, love is all spent
Paying the dues to sing out the blues;
Singing the blues.

This rain won’t stop flowing
But there’s a drought still growing,
This water it’s just wasted from me;
You’ve taken love from my heart
It was my weakest part
From you I’ll never be free.

The city is silent, love is all spent
Paying the dues to sing out the blues;
Singing the blues.

Tomorrow will be coming soon
And it will be another sad tune,
It could have been any song you’d choose;
But without you staying here
I’ve just a deaf ear
And I’ll just cry the blues.

The city is silent, love is all spent
Paying the dues to sing out the blues;
Singing the blues.

There is always mercy in the early hours of the morning.  Quietly, enrapt outpouring to the night.  Tucked in dreamspeak, the tears turn to morning rain.

Understood the feelings here.
Well done.

Thanks, the blue needs to be felt, even if the melody is too quiet to hear, you made this song.

Oh, that lonely ache in the middle of the night ~ missing the other half of your soul.  Too many of us have been there.

You brought it all back to me with this 'real' write.

Giving you a warm, welcoming pip hug,
