I should have sung a birthday song to you,
It would have been the thing to do,
But I can’t admit you’re aging a day;
It has been years and years you say.
I remember you as that girl in the meadow
When we didn’t even think of the morrow,
Just a few days have gone by you know
Not all those years and years you say;
I should have sung a birthday song to you.

Sweet, the melody
Heard intrinsically inside

Hello! Welcome to our circle of kindred spirits!

That was an especially sweet and tender birthday song ~ and you 'sang' it very well.

Giving you a warm, welcoming pip hug,

Earth Angel

Ahh the passing of time, very beautifully rendered in this piece, to the point of aching.

Love,
Margherita
