As a spiritual song may well up out of faith, as if heard from some source that's beyond normal range. There are times when one writes the notes flit like a wraith, lending more to such thoughts as may make up our poems. Sometimes struck by the ease with which harmonies form, as the flow of the piece quite unerringly soars, we feel caught in the grip of a gathering storm, dashed and scattered on waves like a speck of seafoam. We compose out of notes only meant for our ears, setting topic and tone as befitting each tune, that some other may hear stories formed over years of a faraway song, or one closer to home. Each unique instrument playing only those sounds that well up from that point inspiration is found. |
