As I lay here sick in bed, I still can see you
The most beautiful vision of my life came to me
And from afar I see you standing waiting for my arrival
As I enter hundreds rise, our day has finally come

I can't shake the tears as I make my way to you
I know my mascara is a mess but I don't care
I can see the light at the end of this tunnel,
I have waited all my life for this moment
I have searched a thousand faces to find you

I have chills thinking of this, tears spill on my pillow
My feverish body soaked from head to toe,
but all I can see is you
If ever a moment in my life that I have found happiness
this will forever be the turning point of my destiny

I could never have given up on you
It wasn't written in my book that I would
I can't shake what is not meant to be shaken
I can only follow what was written of my path
I was meant to love you, and love you I forever will

Iam a strong woman, powerful in my own beliefs
Iam no fool about the tomorrows, about the pain we
have to go through, or the falls and rising up again
to claim your rights and freedom to laugh and cry
nothing is perfect time and time again we all know this

And though I am young, and foolish in many ways
I know now with all my heart what its like to love
and everytime you are near and call my name
I shake from head to toe, trying to win back my composer
I can't contain my smile, or the flutter in my heart

I have come a long ways since our last moment together
many tears have fallen, but through it all I have become
stronger, my patience has become more intuned to
reality and not for the moments I have seeked for selfish
measures, I guess its what they call growing up

I have closed the door of painting pictures of others
over your face, I guess its true, you can't be erased
So I continue pushing on daily till our time comes
again, till I'm no longer 2000 miles away from your smile
from the wispher of your lips near my ear

They say fools rush in, but patience is a virtue
As the clock tics I know I am gaining one step closer
When I can finally close this chapter in the book
that I opened 23 years ago

I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health
