If i was to paint myself
too thinly,
it would be as though,
i never existed.

...... i see it this way.... don't try and  spread yourself thinly and do too many things ..because the end result may be as though you did nothing at all. It is far greater to focus on less to make a difference . The end results will be  that eventually you get to do all that is in you heart and to know that you did it well.

Would die instead?

If you squashed the pic because of the pixel restraints, then you are even prettier than what I can see!

It's funny, but your photo makes you look pinched and mine makes me look expanded! lol

Just because we we can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.... it only exists at another level.

Our scars are the foundation for what we have become

Food for thought, for sure.  I could agree, but then I think again, "the more one gives, the more one receives."  I work with hundreds of children a week and am spread very thin, but I don't think I've ever been any happier.  What is life anyway, but the transferral of energy?

It only takes a few seconds to make a lasting impression.  For example, a complete stranger held a door open for me for several minutes while I was struggling with child and untied shoes.  I still remember his patience and his pleasant attitude after a decade.  Though I didn't know his name, he became a person from whom I'd like to model.

I give this poem a 10!  Thought provoking!
Nicely done!

I can whole heartedly agree with you there.... i feel like the operator between two worlds lol ...so yes just because we cant always see things doesn't mean they don't exists.... I'm passionate about people and my life has always been about listening to souls in this life time and beyond... i also love my Painting.. poetry... jewelry making.. herbalism... holistic therapies... photography... hiking..beach combing... Tai Chi.. etc etc etc.... the list is endless lol..But i feel the need to focus on less at one given moment..or i  would love to be like Archangel Michael and simultaneously be everywhere and do everything at the same time... he's a fabulous multi tasker lol

Dear miscellanea,
The cosmos is very giving  in that respect...  i agree a simple gesture great or small that comes from the heart costs nothing. Universal love for mankind is a wonderful bridge builder.... Simple gestures can touch the coldest of hearts and make them warm again .... i think as we grow up.... at times we lose our way... we forget that the simple things of life brought us the greatest joy as children.  A kind gesture of a stranger is all it takes to remember... mostly more times that non ...its  children that re-open our eyes and heart and it amazes me just how much my children teach me !!! lol

Hey Linda,
I now realize that even though i am looking rather pixel pinched on the photo.... if i click on my photo.. it does show it in balanced proportion.... I spent ages trying to reduce it in the first place in order to post it... what a song and dance that was... but determination won in the end ! lol
