Autumn

she flows like smoke
memory smell laced wind
maple, elm, and oak
of nail painted earth tones
drying against the breeze
dressing up for her fall

the smell of fall
on the runners trail
sunday morning shuffle,
the earth is damp
and pungent
with the seasons
of leaves that
that form autumns alter

thanks for the inspirational fall setting

What can beat this? You brought on the see and feel and smell of it all. Thanks, "late"

Autumn wears the beauty of the earth in her colors and smile.

Reminds me of my grand daughter, Autumn.

Lovely poem with a very clever closing line.

"dressing up for her fall"

May your autumn be a joyful one!
