You know, when your vitamin levels are balanced you have no desire for zero-nutritional-value food, Ice-cream, cakes, chocolate

Chips, you name it.

Do we have any countries that ban these disasters?

Dinner is served or Anything Italian

  Antipasti to start and
  a bowl of pasti fazul
   or escrole soup,
  next Pasta Primavera or
  any pasta dish will do

Follow with a cup of coffee
  and a slice of Tiramisu
Later a glass of merlot, maybe two
served with a plate of chocolates.

A treat not to be beat. "late"

Here's some of my favorites, although dark chocolate is way up on the list...James

Scrambled eggs with spinach
Peanut butter and celery
Salad with grilled salmon
Garlic bread and spaghetti.

Had a salad with grilled salmon tonite at Big City Diner and it was delicious...

Dark chocolate covered strawberries,
Whipping cream to ease the pain.
Sucking snow cones drizzled in sour lime
While I walk Annie in Vancouver rain.

Any pie, with any filling, I don't even care,
Don't forget the ice cream ~ now there's a decadent pair!
Frozen McCain chocolate cake ~ right out of the freezer
This happens to be my very own personal palate pleaser.

Actually ~ there's aren't too many goodies that I don't happen to like,
But it's usually followed by at least 5 miles upon my stationary bike!

Désirent ardemment le gâteau de chocolat de phase!
Long live chocolate cake!

I love Greek spinach pie or omelet, celery with  a cream cheese mix or peanut butter, peanut butter on a slice of apple too,
Grilled Salmon any way you please but a grilled salmom sandwich with lettuce, sliced cucumber and sliced tomato all on  mixed rye and pumpernickel bread. scrumptious. "late"

Okay don't tell anyone else and I will tell you my secret ice-cream okay?  I get a pail of ordinary vanilla, and poke long holes into it with a chop stick, or make holes here and there with a spoon, (save those scoopings in a dish for later.)  Then...pour melted chocolate down some holes, and shove as much peanut butter as you can down the others.  Wait as long as you can, grab a spoon, some chopped peanuts or pecans, and presto, instant love in a pail.

"late"

I also love ice cream in my coffee. I went to Friendly's once and asked for just that. The young man was perplexed and said, "I don't know how to charge for that".  So I suggested he just charge me for a scoop of ice cream and a cup of coffee. Simple and yet????

Artic Wind, Friendly's is a chain restaurant and ice cream parlor type place.  But when ever you ask for something  different like that it throws them as to pricing. Same at any of the Fast Food type places. Grinning here. You started a good thread. "late"

Fairplay ~  I certainly do have to agree,
We eat a lot of stuff that we don’t see.
Additives in food to color, and much more,
Make sure to read labels while at the store.

Hormones, salt and sugar content are just unreal.
It is now more than a game of only squeeze and feel.
You need a degree in science now just to eat,
I won’t even discuss what they put in meat!

Now chocolate is my only exception
Don’t want to hear of its deception.

Oh, and Lady, I eat edaname beans non-stop, but have never had a crawfish, but suspect I will when I go to New Orleans.

Dear AW,

Strawberries and dark chocolate,
are such fantasies;
a bit of whipped cream,
a delight to see
on any little thing, my
heart would patter;
but keeping it going?
Well...that's the matter!

For outside of those sweets,
and some others I've met
I've a habit for salt!
that's as good as it gets!

But then I need liquids,
and all kinds of them "do"
so sweet, salt and liquids...
Oh yes, I need a good view!

A veranda of sorts would do,
upon some oceanic shore;
or a picket fence, or a pine line
could one need even more?

Now you've put me in a frenzy;
there's so much that I could wish!
But here's to you, and a chocolate view!
For every crave on your dish!

~*~

and thank you so very much for digging
through the archives!!

Wow, Arctic Wind, I thought that this was the post where I took a bath in your chocolate pond ...lol, but it is different I see!! This was fun to go through, I don't have such a sweet tooth, but well CHOCOLATE is my absolute favorite. Being a Swiss, I could say I grew up on chocolate!
Imagine, when I was a little girl, my mother asked me to go buy some Vigor, which was a coffee. That name is quite similar to FRIGOR, which is of course one of the most famous Swiss chocolates. What do you think I brought home? Yes you guess it.
Like Karilea-Sunshine I would say that I am a "salty" woman. My favorite dish is Swiss again and it is quite simple "Bratwurst und Rösti". I am keen on it because I don't eat it often. It's a fried sausage and crushed potatoes prepared with butter (possibly swiss butter of course).
Living in Italy means I eat normally quite healthy food. Many wonderful vegetables and of course spaghetti and such. I love vanilla icecream with blackberries too, but Tiramisù is already too sweet for me, unless it is homemade by my daughter, then it's perfect.

I think I have never ever tasted peanut butter.

I am having now a green tea with honey ... which is perfect for the afternoon.

I think this thread will never finish, it's too tasty!

Love and joy ...
I recommend to go see the last Walt Disney cartoon "Ratatouille"... you will want to cook delicious food afterwards. It happened to me when I saw the movie in Belgium together with my sweet little grandson. We need to be audacious ... in the kitchen.

I love sweets like most people do
But my love for carbs is strong and true

Hot biscuits with butter
Homemade bread from the oven
Don't bother with the turkey,
just bring on the stuffin'

Pasta rich with garlic
Hot plate of rice and beans
Waffles for breakfast
with syrup and peanut butter thin

Flaky pie crust with no filling
Pad Thai for a lunch treat
Chinese noodles hot and steamy
So many good things to eat
.
.

Thanks for making me smile with this thread.
