I walked out
Into a cerulean blue
Autumn morning sky
Without permission

I saw friends
I’ve known for years
Stayed for hours
Without blame

I came home
To fine wine
And delicious food . . .

Read a good book
Then turned off the lights
To sleep at peace
In my own bed

I guess in a way
What I’m trying to say
However
Somewhat diplomatically

Is that
Being without you
Isn’t all that bad

I guess "being without" has its good days and its bad days and I'm glad it was a good day for you. Your ending caught me somewhat off guard but it brought a laugh up and out so I must say, "Thank you".

appreciate people who are able to stand on their own two feet more than the ones that whine about lost love constantly. You conveyed the thought so well.
