Life has lead me
down a path I hadn’t planned…

now too many miles separate
what my soul wishes for
and where my heart must yet be
when all along what was dreamt of
was  you..…with me

still...there is an absolute knowing
that holds my heart resolute in will
I loved you then, love you now, love you always
oh and forever still…

no path, no partner
neither yours nor mine
could alter this emotion
so pure in design

no, it’s not how I planned it
still the dream in my heart
remains the same
and when the missing you ache
is just too much
I smile
and softly I
whisper your name…

So good to 'SEA' you posting again! The photo complements this poem, picture-perfect-ly!

"Life has lead me
down a path I hadn’t planned…"

~ Life is full of surprises! ~ some good and then there are those aren't so good! lol

Lovely spill from your heart pen!

I love the soft surrender to fate perceivable in this melancholic write.

I love it when you write ab0ut me susanofer!

it does feel like  along journey at times, traveling over the salt flats with no end in sight (because, really, is Salt Lake City a destination???)

always love reading you.

(ps - it's "led" not "lead")
