Lily Pad Fairy

A young fairy
Surrounded by beauty,
Was lying on a lily pad,
She was the Lily pad fairy.

There she sat
On a Lily pad,
Thinking of thoughts
--Happy, not sad.

Her wings fluttered
As mist from the pond hit her face.
Her little friend Dragonfly,
She held with embrace

She twinkled her nose
At the little fish.
Singing a song
And making a wish.

Falling asleep
She was happy for the day she had
Of relaxing peace
With the frog on the lily pad.

Sniffing the Lily,
She had a little sneeze.
Laughing and dancing
With her friends -- the fairies.

A young fairy
Surrounded by beauty,
Was lying on a lily pad,
She was the Lily pad fairy.

Arctic Wind, this is magical!

"There she sat
On a Lily pad,
Thinking of thoughts
--Happy, not sad."

~ Smiling here.

"Her wings fluttered
As mist from the pond hit her face.
Her little friend Dragonfly,
She held with embrace"

~ Absolutely precious! ~ and tender.

Your poetry is so refreshing, enchanting, and delightful.
