Solitude

Please Click Link above to hear music and my voice recording.

Music: Garden of Tranquility by Daniel Donadi

Solitude
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

As petals fall in graceful decent
from the ancient cherry tree,
Loving memories of you
come cascading down.
My light within may have dimmed,
with your passing,
Yet, your eternal essence lives on,
~ blanketing me with your endless love,
until the day I draw,
my very last mortal breath.

~ * ~

In solitude, I sit ~ remembering.

Oh Linda, I listened twice, you have such a sweet voice and your words are truly beautiful and poignant. The music is also very soft and accompanies your voice very well.

In solitude we remember better!

Love and hugs, dear Angelo Terrestre!

Margherita ~

You put so much love into all the replies that you write for everyone. You truly are a vessel of love ~ and you are beloved.

Thank you for your kind words. I was smiling as I was reading ~ and I'm still smiling as I'm writing!

Oh Linda, I truely understand how you feel. I often find myself just sitting in solitude, and remembering. Even as sad as this is, it is beautifully written. I do hope it gets better for you, real soon.

Sweet Sue ~

Fear not. No one has passed. Actually this is one of the few times where a picture came before the poem. I saw this hauntingly beautiful painting and the words just came.

Loves 'n hugs,

Linda

Arctic Wind ~

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed my poem, my voice and the music. I attend monthly poetry open mikes (microphone) where we recite our poetry and listen to other poets recite theirs.

My posts with audio are my attempt to have fellow pipsters be a part of the open mic! I'm hoping that others will post audio with their poetry. It makes the written word come alive and I'd love to hear the poets reading their own words. A Romantic Heart has a couple of wonderful posts with her voice and music.

Thank you for your sweet reply!

EA
