Sally and Felix,
they pull bad sót
all over town.

They donít care.

Sally and Felix,
you canít stop them
breaking windows.

They donít care.

Sally and Felix,
steal peopleís stuff,
itís their hobby.

They donít care.

Sally and Felix
never have a thought
between them.

They donít care.

Sally and Felix,
you can learn a lot
from them.

They donít care.

They just donít care.

Bobby

Every neighborhood has a couple like that .
The trick is to stay invisible to them.

There seem to be ever increasing numbers of folk amid the
"Runaway American Dream" who "just don't care!"
[unfortunately some of the worst (and ultimately most
'dangerous') even climb to the top of the
  socio-political ladder!]

continuing applause for this 'chapter' in Felix's story!

Adagio,

Thanks for reading and commenting.  Sally and Felix see everyone.  Thereís no escaping them.  Scary, ainít it.

Secondhanddreampoet,

Thanks for the kind words on the series.

You know Sally and Felix donít do ladders.  Itís just not their style.

ArtSolstice,

Sally and Felix are glad to see you here too.  They say hello.

JamesMichael,

No, Sally and Felix donít have a drug problem.  Theyíre just naturally ornery.

It's a difficult time for them, I see, dear Bobby.
Ornery is the right word for teen-agers who do not like the rules (I did not know this word, I looked it up and "wiederspenstig" is perfect for what you describe).
I'm curious about the sequel.
Good job.

Love,
Margherita

Margherita,

"Marika", the sequel to "Muck" will appear in a few months.  I haven't thought about a sequel to "Felix" yet.

Sally and Felix are thinking about rather basic things, like staying alive, and where their next meal is coming from.  They're just not thinking about anything fun.

Remember, they just escaped from a very nasty foster family situation.

Bobby

Bobby,
I don't know about the series but I liked this poem. I've known a few people like that.

A couple of desperadoes on the loose. They need help! I hope they survive a serious wake-up call which I feel may be coming.

And their story continues ~ I hope.

Ida,

Thanks for the kind words.  Sally and Felix are doing okay.  They send their best.

RDB,

Hey, isnít that the truth.  Ahhh, the memories of those window breaking days.

Veniceflorida,

I think you would enjoy them as neighbors.  Theyíre really all right, about normal for here in the hood.  We're all a little loud here.

Earth Angel,

Yes, the story continues.  Iím not sure of that wake-up call though.

Bobby, I think I've HAD them as neighbors!
Gosh, they sound so familiar... I know, weren't they the ones who started that huge fire in the hood the other night?

ArtSolstice,

Oh, now donít start pointing fingers.  Any little thing that happens in the hood, and they get the blame.

You know very well theyíre just innocent, fleecy, little lambs.

When questioned about it, they uttered those immortal wordsóďYa ainít got nuttin on us!Ē

Bobby

Hopefully Sally and Felix will grow out of their naughty ways.
