Immortal Beloved or "Unsterbliche Geliebte"

Oh how divine she looks sitting
in my garden so fine in want of me.
In approach of her, she looks heavenly.
It is her, oh yes it will always be her,
who's affection placed a smile upon my face,
this fair woman of grace that has time and
again made me happy, no even more than that,
she is the one that has made me supremely happy.
Within the softness of her lips, the passion of
her kiss, in the sweet sensuality that she has
graced me to know, within these moments of
intimacy she has inspired my love to grow.
If not for her what would I have to live for,
but my music, my blessed gift of music.
For music is my life, and music is why she
first came to me, to sit in my company,
to partake of the fruits of my talent.
And these fruits, precious gifts from a God
that must truly love me, that brought
this angel to me, to tend to me, to keep me
company, to be the object of my inspiration
and the recipient of my love and affection.
And for those that would care to know why,
these are the reasons why I call her my angel,
for angels only come once in a lifetime,
and now I am hers and this angel is mine.
"I love you my angel divine."

Good morning, on July 7 Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my IMMORTAL BELOVED, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us- I can live only wholly with you or not at all- Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits- Yes, unhappily it must be so- You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you.  No one else can possess my heart-never-never-  Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves. And yet my life in V is now a wretched life-  Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men- At my age I need a steady, quiet life- can that be so in our connection?..(excerpt)...Ludwig van Beethoven, 1812, 42 years old...an impassioned letter to his Immortal Beloved.

Because Ludwig van Beethoven was German and he wrote those lines in German.

And it is exactly this title of course, dear James, that I was immediately attracted to and I sigh and I think how beautiful my mother tongue is "Unsterbliche Geliebte" it sounds so good to my ears.

And your words, dear James, are equally passionate and truly beautiful and sensual!

My compliments.

Love,
Margherita

touches ones soul with light~warms ones heart with music
a song of eternal love reunites souls
this night~

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~
