In the auditory wasteland of commercial radio
like a beacon in the darkness out of Detroit wouldn'tcha know
without any of the blather one abhors yet still expects
I've found musical salvation on a station ( CSX !)

Try to picture with your minds' eye a technology so new
that it generates a playlist from some point inside of you
then rebroadcasts on your wavelength every tune that it extracts
through some form of Vulcan mind-meld I'd describe as their deep tracks.

All the great songs of an era in a never ending stream
can I get some validation to make sure it's not a dream?
In some fifty years of travel ( it seemed logical to roam )
'til the good ol' Vulcan mind-meld turned this station into home.

With a nod to Leonard Nimoy, live long/prosper Mr. Spock
when it's all about the music, they deliver,  that's no schlock!

P.S.
For those inclined to listen, go to the WCSX homepage/ listen online, select " deep Tracks " from the drop down menu& enjoy. a nice addition is a " Rocket" FM wireless unit that allows you to listen on your home stereo system , and no, I don't recieve any compensation from either, although if they offered I wouldn't refuse.

Artic,
Thanks for the read, I just wanted to share this find. As a child of the sixties/ seventies I've been waiting a long time for this.
