.

Harvey finally thinks
That any sort of nobility
Is stupidity or at the very least
A willful form of criminal self-neglect

To Harvey two and two is only four
Not five or love or any other jive
However often you add it up

Harvey believes in realities . . .
That self-sacrifice then can only work
If the end is quick and finds you dead

The collar up
The jacket closed

There’s a stern cold wind
And all the flowers
That Harvey knows

Are in their withering
Along the road
