Many years I tried to become a Mother,
only to be heartbroken.

Wondering why there are so many children who are not wanted,
yet someone like me couldn't seem to get their dream.

Tears rolled for 10 years from my swelled eyes,
like a faucet that could not be fixed.

Pain swept through my heart,
that was almost unbearable at times and seemed never ending.

But one sweet day when I least expected,
God granted me my one true wish.

I have a son now,
and my heart is overjoyed every day.

Watching him grow has been a wonderous journey,
one I would not trade for all the riches of this world.

He is loving and kind,
and my Miracle.

Although he is becoming a young man,
and wanting to go out on his own.

He will always be My Son,
My Blessing from God.

You know...my son is 42 and I want to tell you that the love, concern, respect, admiration, amazement, only grows bigger and stronger with time.  Congratulations, and now you are about to take on a journey that is absolutely incredible.

Loving poem to put into your son's life journal.

Lisa - I waited some time for my first son so I really can understand your 10 years.  You have been justly rewarded and your gratitude has been beautifully written.  Enjoy every moment!
