My heart thumps
drumming in my chest
loudly, deafening
crushing all rhyme and reason
nothing makes sense

this airs so dense
I can not capture my breath

It is so hard to breathe..

it sickens me
til arms are flailing
in mid-air

sinking deeper
then suddenly it is there

soothing, calming
quieting fears

I hold it dear

it is not to be
yet it is

because it was
gifted to me

perhaps it was
or was not meant to be

but it remains

cherished.

Perfectly rendered, dear Donna!
We can't escape feelings ...

Love and hugs.
