The Phrasing's the Same

I talk to myself and answer each day.
No one else to share with, the dreams that I say.
So I wake to the morning, leaving sleep far behind,
hoping the following is more than just kind.

I've been trapped in the heat of two lives, not just one,
where the turmoil is always and the comfort is none.
I surrender frustration, and have lasted this long
challenged by all, still burdened but strong.

Some say it's not worth it, the waiting of time
but you do what you must to survive on a dime.
Well, more than a dime, but the phrasing's the same
to hold onto tomorrow by playing life's game.

I just wish it was over, the worry within,
being tested and pressured, my life in a spin.
So I freeze in the moment, when the moment brings fear,
and I slow dance alone till my world becomes clear.

When the fog lifts the blue, and "joy" says hello,
when ease becomes normal, and the moon's in full glow,
I'll know the time's right to perfect how I feel.
The power will be mine, all mine to reveal.

I know the feeling. We all do at one point or another and we all have our own ways of relaxing.

Maureen, this could have been written about me. I so understand where you are coming from.

Dear Maureen,
I think many of us can relate to what you so beautifully, intensely describe here.
Sometimes the pressure is almost unbearable, but then we do KNOW deep inside that there are better days ahead and we are rescued again by this hope.

Just beautiful!

Love and hugs.
