.

The porch looks out
Over an amber field
And just beyond
Is a deep blue sea

There are two chairs
By the low wooden rails
I notice the leaves on the trees
Are beginning to change

Sparrows at a feeder
A cardinal sings
A cat walks by
On the still green lawn

She brushes my hair
As she opens the door

And says with a smile
That knows more than I
It’s about time

.

Thank you all.

Especially you jwesley:

"Wonderful, my friend..."

What man's dream doesn't have
a woman in it?

Thanks again.

John
