MERCY
4 October 2007

Just when
the shards are sharpest
God smiles sunlight on them
and they become
His diamonds.

Such a wondrous thought sparkles here through your pen, dear Owl. I can get lost in those orchestrations of light and rainbows ... even simple glass shards can display magic!
Love,

Thank you very much, Margherita.  Yes, there is so much beauty and good in the world in the midst of terror and desperation, if only we open our eyes and our hearts to see it.

Thank you, Marge.  Yes, this was very much about a lot.  The strange thing is, that some kind and practical advice from a colleague inspired this, and then just after I posted the poem (the poem and the posting were unbeknown to the colleague) another very kind deed came my way - and from the same colleague.

Thank you, James.  Smiles.

Thank you, inkedgoddess and Lindsay.  Yes, I may not have much currently, and may lose a lot more very soon, but I will always have my faith.

Thank you, Kate.  Glad you thought so.

Thank you, Tears of Sanity.

Thank you Karen.  In between times, however, I panic and am desperate - then God does something like this, and I just have to open my eyes and smile.

Talking about smiling - that is a thing I do when I see you in the blue pages or an email.

Love you too, Karen.  Hugs - and more smiles.
