Marge are these also called Mexican Petunia? They look like some in my yard that were  called that. I have tall flowers that also looks the same and were also called Mexican Petunia. Interesting. So colorful as they are prolific and attract attention.  best"late"

Ahhh I love this color, I want a silky dress made of these gorgeous petals.

Beautiful guest in your garden, dear Marge!

Love and hugs.

In spring my garden's mighty sweet.
I like to think it can't be beat.
But oh, it is dismal and sober
Compared to yours in your October.

(the rains have started and my beauties are retreating from the onslaught.)  Love, Joyce

Friends~
Thank you ALL .. it is the blooming season for this gorgeous plant~

Yesterday, while at my daughter's home, I saw the Tibouchina, standing about 12 ft. tall, just COVERED in glorious blooms~

Her soulmate had pruned it to grow into a tree, instead of just a bush ... now I'm going to do that with one of mine~

These are SO EASY to start from cuttings !
I had one originally .. and started six others that are just doing fantastic~

The leaves are a soft fuzzy texture and when changing colors they have a technicolor beauty of their own~

Ah .. life in the garden~
