AT A FIFTH FLOOR WINDOW
30 September 2007

They were just
sunlit virgin clouds
in a clean sky painted baby blue
viewed from a fifth floor window
of a dingy office building
in a sleepy hollow town,
but I wanted so
to touch them
gently
so they wouldn’t
take fright
or dent.

Nice poem...nice imagery.  I can see the clouds from your point of view.

Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes the simplest things make our day worth while. Sometimes people like you just need to remind us.

Delightful, dear Owl!

This late afternoon I was on the phone with our HR chief and for a moment I got distracted because of a wonderful set of pink shaded clouds ... I interrupted him and exclaimed "look out of the window and see the beauty of the pink clouds!" ... I am on the seventh floor and he is on the eighth, same exposition. He did pause for a moment but I only heard a brief "mmm". Still I was glad for the shared view of beauty.

Love,
Margherita

Thank you, Bruce - me too!

Thank you, Margherita and for sharing your cloud moment too.  I feel such sadness for those who feel only an "Mmm", but perhaps he FELT more, but only SAID "Mmm".  I am glad you gave him the opportunity to enjoy, whether he did or not.

Thank you, quatro.  I'm glad you did.

Thank you, Linda.  Smiles.

Smiles, Ida.  Yes, it is the small things that give (me) the most pleasure.  Thanks for appreciating my "reminders".  More smiles.
