Leaning Oaks

By Frank Lee Jennings

There’s thunder and the leaning Oaks
bow, quivering their thanks
to a blue gray sky that dons gray cloak
and quickly closing ranks

begins to quench the thirsting earth
with sweet rain, recognized as rare
and gives rise to blooming birth
of wild flowers on knolls once bare

with selfsame speed the fleeting clouds
leave in their wake a joyous glen
their thirst now quenched, again Oaks bow
leaves wave farewell, come soon again!

KNOWLEDGE IS A DEFENSE AND MONEY IS A DEFENSE, BUT THE EXCELLENCY OF WISDOM IS THAT IT GIVES LIFE TO THEM THAT HAVE IT.

I highly enjoyed the beautiful imagery in your "leaning Oaks".

Loved the title and what it promised.

Promise kept.

Love,
