My brother passed away Sept 7th  this year at the age of 46. He fought a hard battle with Cancer. I was with him through most of his ordeal for the past year and a half and thought I would post this in his honor....

If I've never said it
Let me say it now
Thank you for the time we shared
and the games we played
For being there as brothers do
Looking after me as I grew and grew

For giving me advice
and straightening me out
and showing me how to take flight
In my monents of doubt

For inspiring me everyday
To reach for the stars
Now they all are so close
Even though you are so far

Your memory remains
in the clouds and the sky
In every thought of my day
and in my dreams at night

My brother you are
My brother you'll be
the memories are strong
Of you and me

And they always will

Thanks
Rich

Only at night you can see the depth of the sun

My brother has cystic fibrosis and I can relate to this poem completely.

Damn good read and I'm sorry for your loss man.

If anyone tells you that time heals all wounds don't listen to them they just haven't had to deal with loss yet.

I impressed upon my daughters as they were growing up, that it was important for them to make this world a better place than the one that they were born into.

Through reading your poem of love and appreciation, it is apparent that your brother has done just that.

I truly am sorry for your loss. He obviously was a wonderful man ~ and a caring and protective brother.

God bless you both. I truly believe, that in some ways, he is closer to you now.

Love & Eternal Light,

Linda

Big Hugs~

I Hope it is ok to copy this and

give it to my two sons so they

can appreciate eachother,

and not fight so much.

I am sure your brother
knew how much you meant to him
just being there, without words,
spoke volumes to his heart!

You know you're in love, when you can't fall asleep, because reality is finally better than your dream~Dr.Seuss

Rich, tomorrow would be my sister's 65th birthday. She passed away of cancer a little over 3 years ago. Having been with her that last year and especially those last months, I know exactly how hard it has been and how important those memories are.
