Remains

there is no love
without you
I let it get away
green that once was
turns brown and curls
falling from tight arms
doing somersaults
across the yard now
winter comes unready
but when was I ever ready
unprepared to the cold
naked arms clothed
still by my heart
I hear your whispers
and they remain
to stir my soul

You know, this one put me in a place just where my heart is also. You write of such truth and love. Sauni

Nice to run into you on my day off Helen. I'm believing to get back into things myself, hopefully sometime this winter. Not much time to sit around and read this year but when I saw your name I couldn't resist. Still got your slick touch I see.
