Said the fly to his mate
I thinks its too late
My legs they can hardly move
His mate answered back
Thank God for that
My rear end is Battered and bruised
With wings I can fly
But as hard as I try
A lift off I cannot achieve
Believe it of not
I’d rather die hot
In the weather outside we would freeze
That’s right said his mate
We are stuck to our fate
All you can do now is blether
When the chips are down
I always have found
We always start blaming the weather

LOL, even the flies get lazy at this time of year. I enjoyed the meter in this Fairplay - a wonderful, whimsical flow!

Best wishes,
/Kit

This was really cute!  It's always fun to read something that is...fun

Do you know of the story of the old woman who swallowed a fly?
