The Dream dealer is selling you illusions
Pretending they will set you free
As he paints a pretty picture of
A better place to be

Saying you've no need to worry
There is nothing to be lost
Whilst all the while behind that smile
He conceals the cost

If you drop that 'E'
His idea of free
May come as quite a shock

When they insert the final screw
That will contain you

Forever in a box

Gosh! How cynical!

that final box will contain nothing ...

The only thing that truly matters is LOVE.
Love remains ... "have I loved today?" should be our only worry.

Love,
Margherita

This was written for someone who was at the trying new experiences stage, I was trying to point out the long term problem of the short term highs on offer....

Thanks for the responses    John

The poem may be cynical but I think that most of us have experienced this feeling at one time or another.  The main thing is that we cannot dwell there too long.
